"Save the Date" Progress

After tossing around several design ideas, I have finally settled on the look for our "Save the Dates". I was bummed that our letterpress wasn't up and running in time however I have decided to create a STD that still has that tactile quality. I spent last night hand stamping birds onto the corner of recycled A-2 cards. I am going to print the content on vellum and then overlay that on top of the card. That will be my next step, so there will be more to come in the next couple of days!
I mixed my own ink for the bird print. I was wanting a color that would be low contrast with the paper and you can't exactly find that in-store.
